Meet Troy Latterell
Early Life
I was raised in a small rural town. My dad was a farmer, my mom a social worker, and like many families we struggled—five of us in a small leaky-roofed house, working hard just to get by. Before I could drive a car, I was driving tractors, feeding cattle, and cleaning barns. It was a good life, but opportunities for young people were limited.
What made the difference was a strong public school system. Early access to computers and great teachers sparked a love of technology that changed my life. I become the first in my family to graduate college.
Work History
After graduation I worked my way from computer networks into software engineering into senior technology leadership. I built my first successful consulting company in the 90s, built a great client base in which I began building my experience in business, understanding the needs of varied businesses and crafting solutions.
In the early 2000s, I shifted my focus to helping a key client build a world-leading healthcare organization. Within ten years, we grew it into one of America’s 5000 fastest-growing private companies. I spent the next decade as a CIO and VP for multiple companies — again building -a top 5000 fastest-growing company in manufacturing. I spent decades building companies, guiding strategy, building teams, and driving results.
In 2023, I launched my own firm dedicated to helping businesses craft smart technology strategies, build strong IT teams, and implement solutions that fuel long-term success.
Family
My wife and I were married in 2000. We quickly started a family having 3 amazing sons. We started out life together in Belton MO, then soon moved to Lee's Summit for its community and great public school district in 2006. We moved from SW to NE Lees Summit, District 33 over ten years ago, that really more represents my upbringing and experiences.
We love having land to live on and within 10-15 mins of some great recreational lakes and a great community that continues to invest in education. It has lived up to all expectations. My wife having started her own business in the early 2000s, is a well respected photographer, 2 of my sons are in college - while my youngest attends a private school.
We love working on our five acres in east Lee's Summit, visiting the local lakes and of course cheering on the Chiefs and the Royals!

I belong to a monthly Catholic men’s group — a place where we share life, support one another, and stay grounded in caring, compassion and grace.
